This year we spent the 4th in Orange Beach/Gulf Shores with my parents. We had a fabulous time doing nothing! The condo was great and the pools were even better. Sarah Kathryn loved every second of being in the pool except when she went down the water slide! We stayed at the Caribe and I would recommend it to anyone that has children. It has tons of pools, lots of water slides, indoor pools with slides and a lazy river.
Going to the beach with a small infant is hard. It was actually a huge blessing that SK loved the pools so much because toting everything and everyone to the beach would have been a huge task and one not worth it! I took Matthew to the pool with us in the morning until around lunch and then had to head back up to the condo for the afternoon. Thomas would take SK back out to the pool after nap time, which worked out great. Matthew sat in his swing under his tent and would eventually fall asleep even if it meant Nana singing to him. We ate lots of good food, went out to eat, went to the outlets on the rainy day and went down to the Wharf one evening. I even got to see an old friend/sorority sister. Ashley and her family came one morning so that we could visit and her husband and son could swim. It was great catching up even though our time was so limited! Thanks for a great vacation Mom and Dad, now back to reality!
