6 months and catching up

Ok, so I have been a bad blogger! I have been swamped with a number of things and this blog has taken a back seat. But, believe it or not, Matthew is already 6 months old!! AND...he is a BIG boy! At his 6 month well visit he weighed 18lbs 3 oz which put him in the 70% for weight and he was also in the 70% for height (seriously??). It is amazing to me that he is so big since it big sister was the complete opposite. He is still such a calm, sweet baby and I find myself wondering how I could love him sooo much. However, the poor little guy has been battling sickness for the last month. He has had 3 consecutive ear infections and they are not getting better. In fact, he doesn't tolerate the antibiotics so we had to go straight to the strong stuff, shots!! We actually went to the ENT yesterday and he will be getting tubes next Thursday, Praise the Lord! I just want him to feel better. It is hard to tell at times when he is not well because he hardly ever complains.

On another note, Sarah Kathryn has been keeping us on our toes. Sometimes, I like to refer to her as a "shedevil"...she is for sure right smack in the middle of the terrible two's. We have had some really LONG days dealing with discipline and we are still trying to figure out what it is that is going to work for us and her. I love her to death and when she is sweet it still melts my heart but boy she can really get me fired up! She is still loving school and is still loving Beckett too! They are partners in crime that is for sure. Sarah Kathryn has really gotten into Princesses lately. Our latest is Snow White and when I say she can recite the entire book word for word, I am not joking! She is also in a HUGE daddy phase and wants him all the time. She will only allow Thomas to put her to bed, to read to her and she constantly wants him to hold her during the day.

As for me, well I have been a regular at the Pediatricians office, in fact I think I should pay part of their rent. I have also been monogramming and appliqueing up a storm! I am so thankful for all the work that has been sent my way!!

We have some fun outings planned in the next few weeks, one being going to cheer on our Rebel Bears! ha! No, but really we are heading to Oxford, MS for the Ole Miss vs. Auburn game and we will have SK in tow with us. I have been working on her game day dress for two weeks now and it is not done but she is bound to be super cute!
Happy Fall:)

Happy six months Matthew! I think he is looking more like you and SK is looking more like Thomas. Sorry about her terrible twos...I saw a lot of that when I was teaching and it was always worse for the kids with new little siblings. Plus, since Matthew has been sick, he needs more attention. It's probably just a phase where she is rebelling against sharing you with the baby. I hope it passes soon. Can't wait to see you in the Grove. Are you guys setting up?
