Sorry for the lack of pictures and posts lately but I have not taken one picture of Sarah Kathryn since Christmas so I had nothing to post. In addition, we have been fighting off illness in our house for what seems like a month now. Sarah Kathryn still has a little bit of a cold but is feeling much better. She had her first double ear infection last week since she had her tubes were put in. It was not quite as bad as before the tubes but she still felt pretty yucky.
Other than being sick we have been trying to transition to a big girl bed. We have her big bed in her room with a crib as well. She likes the bed but did not like it so much when it was time to go to sleep. She kept telling Thomas that she wanted to get in her other bed. We are still trying to work on it but if she is not ready then we will just wait since we do have two cribs. The nursery is getting closer and closer to being finished! I am just waiting on Matthew's bedding to arrive and I have to finish the window treatments and then it will be complete!
Yesterday, I took Sarah Kathryn to Kid's Gym. We had a great time and lots of her friends ended up coming as well! My friend Kim takes her twins there and has told me that they love it so we decided to try it...it was a success. Sarah Kathryn jumped on the trampoline, went down the slides, climbed on everything and played in the ball pit. She came home and took a 3.5 hour nap which was fabulous:)

Oh, how can I forget Sarah Kathryn turned 23 months old two days ago. I can not even believe that next month she will be 2!! She is really such a big girl these days. Just in the last week her vocabulary has taken off and she is communicating with us so much better. I like that she can finally tell me what she needs/wants. She loves to tell me when she has fallen, or when she has a boo-boo and the best thing she tells me is when she wants to eat! She is still somewhat of a picky eater and has barely gained any weight since her 18mo check-up but I try to not stress out about it anymore--she will eat when she is hungry, right? Her hair is getting much longer but still out of control. As I am typing this she asked for her Auburn pom poms and just said war eagle...Thomas would be so PROUD!! Up until now she only talks about Ole Miss!!!
We are obsessed with Mickey Mouse and friends. We must have Mickey, Donald, Minnie and Pluto with us at all times. Sarah Kathryn is constantly asking to watch Mickey's and if it is not Mickey then it is still Elmo. We are often found dancing and singing to the "hot dog" dance!
