I can't believe that 4 months have already gone by. After visiting the doctor today, Sarah Kathryn weighs 13lbs and 2 oz--45% and is 24 inches long--50%. Sarah Kathryn is really turning into a little person these days and she sure does have a mind of her own. She seems to take after me a little bit with her stubbornness and at times it can drive me crazy! She is now a tummy sleeper and although it scares me to death watching her sleep on her tummy with her head buried in the covers, I guess she is fine. We started a bed time routine a few weeks ago and since then she has started sleeping nearly 12 hours each night. We give her a bath and then she eats a little and then off to sleep. We have been struggling with day time naps but eventually we will get it all figured out. Some of Sarah Kathryn's favorite things to do are to grab my hair (constantly), swing, smile and I even heard her laugh for the first time a few days ago. She is constantly kicking those feet and swinging her arms, of course that is nothing new! She loves to get on the floor and roll over to her tummy and then attempt to crawl or scoot somewhere. She gets so frustrated that she can't go anywhere but soon enough she will be on the move!! She has realized that she can blow bubbles and spit while making lots of noises. The spit is new for us and it totally grosses me out. I think she is in the beginning stages of teething because the saliva is very abundant these days! Thomas and I love her more and more each day!
