Happy Father's Day!

Happy Belated Father's Day to all the dad's out there! Thomas had a great first Father's Day...something he was really looking forward to. We did not do any thing out of the ordinary but it was still a special day for Thomas. We went to church and then out to lunch with grandpa and grandma Picardy. It was pretty funny because when Thomas and I were dropping Sarah Kathryn off at the nursery at church we ran into some of our friends. Our friends were picking up their son who is 5 weeks older than Sarah Kathryn. The mom was sad because her son had just had a blow out in his "father's day outfit". They had yet to take pictures and he had to put on his reserve outfit from the diaper bag...I felt bad for her! So, we went on to lunch and while we were at lunch I fed Sarah Kathryn her bottle. She was great the whole time we were at the restaurant but for some reason she was being a little too good. Well, all of a sudden came the real serious face and no movement and then it happened, she went #2. So, in the middle of my wonderful prime rib meal I had to take her to the ladies room to change her diaper. It was terrible because now we were in the same boat as our friends. Sarah Kathryn had a real blow out in her "father's day outfit"!! Needless to say we left the restaurant in the reserve onesie and now our father's day pictures did not have a true "father's day outfit" either!!

Besides celebrating father's day Sarah Kathryn has become a big girl. She has now slept in her crib for the past 4 nights! It was a huge step for both Thomas and I to move her out of our bedroom but since she has been sleeping through the night for so long we felt it was finally time. So, with the bed alarm and video monitor on we made the transition. She has done great but I am still sad that she is not an arms length away from me.
