Life without Nana!!!

After Sarah Kathryn was born my mom (Nana) came to stay with us for about 2 1/2 weeks and she has now been gone for about 2 weeks. We were so lucky to have her here to help not only with Sarah Kathryn but also to do all of my household chores. She cleaned the house, did the laundry, made me breakfast, lunch and dinner and kept Thomas ready for work by ironing all his clothes. I will say that being a stay at home mom is not an easy job. You would think that you have all day to get everything done and have a perfect meal on the table for when your husband comes home but that is not the case (or at least not yet). It is all that I can do to keep Sarah Kathryn happy and fed and that seems to take my entire day. Some days it is hard to even get time to get in the shower let alone clean the house and do the laundry. I will say that I am getting better at doing things while she is napping but every now and then I like to nap too!! So, after seeing Thomas in his "nice" khaki pants on Monday for work I decided that no matter how tired I was I needed to iron all of his work pants so we would not have to buy more pants!! Yesterday seemed to be pretty productive for me and when I say productive I mean I cleaned out our freezer and organized my milk supply by oldest to newest and then ironed Thomas' pants. I love being a mom and a stay at home mom but it is a much bigger task than I would have thought! So, Nana if you are reading this please feel free to come stay with us anytime...we would have kept you longer!
