That is right...Matthew is now 8 months old and has LOTS of love to share with us, all 20lbs of him:) He is a big guy; although, SK refers to him as "little guy" or "little buddy" most often!
Poor Matthew has been through the ringer since he was 7 weeks old. He has constantly been sick. Nothing serious, thankfully but still not fun. If it is not his ears, then it is fever and if it is not fever then it is vomit and if not that then cough and congestion. We are on yet another antibiotic and we are still not sure whether or not he may just have allergies. Who Knows??
With all the sickness he has been through, he is still the sweetest thing ever. He is almost always in a happy mood and can melt your heart in a matter of seconds. He puts up with his big sister rather well but he is starting to really show us what he does and does not like. He is not as fond of her laying on him and holding him as he once was. They both love each other so much and I can't wait until they can play together.
He is finally sitting up and sometimes he still falls back or to the side but he is doing great. Yes, he has been a little slow at some of the milestones but I am blaming that on his chubby legs! No really, we did ask the doc about it and they have checked him and all is well. He is just super laid back and not worried about doing anything, he will do it on his own time:) Also, I should not complain because each day without a crawler is FABULOUS!! I am not sure what I will do when he becomes super mobile...if you think I am already crazy then watch out! Oh, he also cut two teeth in the last couple of weeks, fun stuff. ha!
We had a great Thanksgiving with my brother and his family in town. It was so fun getting to meet baby Tilly and just spending some good quality time with them. We sure do miss them and SK loved seeing Uncle Mike and Aunt Karen. I ate entirely too much but the food was so yummy!!
We can't wait for Christmas but I just can't believe that it is already December, where does the time go? I have been working so much lately but it has been great, crazy but great:) I actually started working 2 days a week for someone that sells medical apparel. It is only 10hrs a week and sort of fell in my lap. I think the best things come when you are not even looking. God always seems to provide great opportunities for our family. So, pray for me that I don't lose my mind while trying to mother to two small children, sew for TONS of people and take on this new adventure--if you have not noticed, I think I can do everything but I am learning real fast that I am not super woman. I never want to pass up a good thing so that is why I am doing way too many things at the moment.
Sorry this is so long but I am trying to get caught up! We have been enjoying our Elf on the Shelf, "Aubie" for the last few nights and I do think it has helped SK in the obedience department:) Bribery is a part of parenting and is allowed, right?? ha!! Merry Christmas!
