For some reason the summer time seems to be much harder to find things to do. I am not sure why but I am always struggling to come up with activities to fill our days. Maybe it is because we have a new baby at home and it is harder to just up and go all the time. Or maybe it is because it is so hot out that "we" or should I say "I" don't want to be outside. So, we decided to join the Homewood pool this summer to make our days pass by a little faster. Not only does it give SK something to do but it also gives mommy an opportunity to get some sun on her pale body!! Nothing is worse than having a post baby body that is pasty white. Other than hanging out at the pool we have been feeding our babies (mine and Sk's), playing with lots of play-doh, coloring tons of pictures, reading books, watching movies, riding our cars around the house, singing lots of songs, chasing Luke around the house (which he loves, ha!), still wondering where Jess is (our cat that went to Heaven), making lots of messes and waiting each day for daddy to come home (me and SK)!!!
Sarah Kathryn started back to school this past Tuesday and she is having a blast. They are studying the creatures of the Ocean. She came home and told me that she made an octopus that was pink and had her name on it. I am so glad that she is going to school for the next six weeks because again it gives her something to do and it gives me a little break too!
We are counting down the days until we head to the beach in two weeks, oil or no oil we are still looking forward to a change of scenery! I feel like I need to start packing now because each time we go somewhere I have to pack the entire house. We are also awaiting the arrival of Sarah Kathryn and Matthew's first cousin (to arrive on July 2nd).

It's not just you...it's so hot and nothing outside sounds fun. We are in the same boat and I feel so guilty keeping Maddox inside. Which beach are you going to- we are headed to Orange Beach July 2.
