Tonight we went to the Birmingham Zoo Light Safari with Mimi and Popee (T's parents). We had a great time despite the cold weather. Sarah Kathryn was all bundled up and did not seem to mind the cold but it was the rest of us that stayed cold. We rode the train, carousel, walked through the petting zoo (which Sarah Kathryn loved) and looked at all the lights.
Tomorrow, we are celebrating Christmas with the Picardy's at our house since we will not be here for Christmas this year. We are going to do SK's big Santa gifts when she gets up from her nap so it will feel like Christmas morning.
Sarah Kathryn has already opened several gifts from various people so she has started to get the hang of tearing the wrapping paper, which she likes. So, on Friday morning before school I was in our bedroom when I heard some noise out in the great room. I go to see what the commotion is and I find Sarah Kathryn unwrapping one of her gifts that was already under the tree. I walk in and she looks at me, stops what she is doing and then says "no, no, dada's"! I had told her the day before when she was trying to open a gift that it was Dada's! It was pretty cute and I had to laugh.
More pics to come!
