Pre-Halloween Festivities

We have been pretty busy this week in preparation for Halloween. First, our week started by going to school on Wednesday and not knowing that Sarah Kathryn was having a Halloween party. We missed school the prior Friday so we were out of the loop. Not only did she not have her costume but I did not sign up to bring anything for their special Halloween lunch. I felt terrible which ended in tears for me once again. I usually cry every time I drop her off at school but this was different. I mean it was her first school party and we were not even prepared for it. However, Sarah Kathryn still had a great time walking in the parade dressed in her pumpkin t-shirt! She trick-or-treated with her classmates around the church and came home with a bag full of candy. Her candy bag was super cute. It had her name on it with her foot prints that were made into cats...I loved it!

Then, on Thursday we went to playgroup and this time we did have our costume! We took pictures of all the kiddos in their costumes, which was interesting but fun. I did not get a lot of great pictures from that but some of my friends did. We also carved our first pumpkin on Friday night and even though Sarah Kathryn was not totally interested it still turned out pretty cool. Thomas did a great job and Sarah Kathryn did stick her hand inside the pumpkin a few times, tried to eat a couple of seeds and then ran around the garage.
Happy Halloween!!!
