We started our 4th of July weekend by going to the park with Sarah Kathryn. Thomas had Friday off so we were trying to think of something fun to do. Since, it is blazing hot by 9am we headed to the park early. Let's just say that SK is still not a big fan of the park. She had a melt down. She loved the swing but did not like anything else. So we left. I did manage to get a few pics while she was still calm and collected. Thomas attempted to take her again Saturday morning while I was at the farmers market. They were there for awhile so I figured all was going well. They did indeed have a better trip and I plan to take her more often (the 2 1/2 hour nap afterwards made it completely worth it!).
The rest of our 4th was spent hanging out with my parents on our deck while Sarah Kathryn and Thomas lounged in the pool (baby pool that is). We had a great time and enjoyed some yummy food and beverages. I found a great margarita recipe on a friend's blog that I must say was very good. After eating way too much we ventured down to Homewood for the fireworks...with a very sleepy baby. Sarah Kathryn did really well seeing that she did not take an afternoon nap and I think she actually liked the fireworks.

SK looks like she LOVES the swing. I can't wait until EmK is a little older and we can meet at Veteran's Park...it is so nice and close!
